Information you provide: email address and password, username and profile photo, drink logs ratings and reviews, location information when you choose to add a location to a log. Date of birth is collected during onboarding for age verification and caffeine metabolism calculations. Physiological and Health-Adjacent Data: If you choose to use the personalized caffeine decay engine, we collect optional settings for your weight, biological sex, smoker status, oral contraceptive use, and pregnancy or nursing status. Information collected automatically: device type and operating system, app usage data, and location data when you grant permission for the Find Near Me feature.
To provide and improve The Dose service. To display your reviews and logs to other users. To power location-based features like Spots Near Me and Prices Near Me. Health-adjacent data is used exclusively to run mathematical calculations for your personalized caffeine metabolism curve. Anonymized aggregated analytics stripped of all personal identifiers may be shared with beverage brands for analytics purposes.
We do not sell your personal data, location data, or health-adjacent data to third parties, data brokers, or advertising networks. We do not share your personal information with third parties except service providers who help us operate the app, when required by law, or when aggregated anonymized data is shared with beverage brands for analytics purposes.
We collect anonymized device identifiers and crash diagnostic data through Sentry to help us identify and fix bugs. This data is not linked to your personal account information and is used exclusively to improve app stability. We do not use this data for advertising, profiling, or any non-diagnostic purpose.

The Dose is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 13 we will delete it promptly.
We retain your data as long as your account is active. When you delete your account your personal data is deleted within 30 days.
Location access is used only to power Near Me features and to bias drink location search results. We do not track your location in the background. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings.
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections and secure authentication.
We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app.
